Lodges with Hot Tubs in Lake District
Find your hot tub break in the Lake District
It’s common knowledge that the Lake District is home to some of the most stunning views, huge lakes and rolling hills – but there is much more to the county than what meets the eye.
Beyond the mountainous terrain to explore, you can find beautiful spots for food and drink, museums and historic buildings – like Beatrix Potter’s former home! Below we have cherry picked our top three things to do in the Lake District.
A play by the lake
The Theatre by the Lake is quite literally what it says on the tin, and it has to be the most beautifully situated theatre in the world. It’s creative hub welcomes creatives in the Cumbrian community and beyond. With tickets to top-notch productions or a festival, you can be sure that this will be the highlight of any visit to the Lakes.
The Beatrix Potter Trail
Now owned by the National Trust, the charming and quaint house that was once owned by Beatrix Potter lives at Hill Top. You can follow the Beatrix Potter trail to the house where you will see photos, furniture, unusual paintings done by potter and much more – you’ll even have the chance to walk through her famous garden. If you really are a true fan of Potter, the National Trust also has a downloadable trail that will take you around the parts of the Lakes that inspired her writing.
The Drunken Duck
If you just fancy a nice cold brew with some good company and a view, The Drunken Duck is for you. This gorgeous pub offers a truly localised experience, with the pints being brewed just next door at the Barngates Brewery including lagers, ales and stouts. A great stop off if going on a long walk in the surrounding areas – the food is fabulous too!
